Hello all!
Back at the hotel after another long day. Our itinerary today consisted of a morning trip to Toledo and then back to Madrid to have dinner and walk through Plaza Mayor for a stroll and some shopping. Toledo is a beautiful medieval city that we fell in love with. We visited a sword factory and had lunch in Toledo, which was terrific. In the afternoon we visited the Prado museum in Madrid and examined paintings by Goya and Velasquez, among others. Tomorrow we have a very long day planned. We will visit a number of locations, including the Valley of the Fallen, a bullfight and a flamenco show. Take a look at what we did today!
A number of shots from across the river as we were approaching the fortress city of Toledo.
Dylan wishing his social studies teacher (Mr. Drummey) was right in front of him. :)
Walking the side streets of Toledo.
The Cathedral de Toledo, which is the fourth largest cathedral in Europe.
Ines with our local guide named Ema.
This set of photos was taken near the original entrance to the fortress city, called the Puente de San Martin.
Here we are at dinner in Madrid.
