Today was primarily a travel day for us. We spent 4 and a half hours on the bus, traveling from Madrid to Cordoba. We spent three hours there, visiting a massive mosque that covers 22,000 square feet and 856 marble pillars. The mosque was built during the muslim occupation of Spain. After our tour of the mosque, we wandered the streets of Cordoba, eating ice cream and browsing the shops. Then it was on to Seville, where we had dinner and then walked through the streets watching the locals who are dressed for the week long festival that is occurring in Seville. We are hoping to experience the festival tomorrow. Here are today's pics.
