Hello all from Spain!
It is about 11:00 PM Madrid time and the kids are finally in bed and asleep we hope! :) We had a wonderful last 36 hours of continuous action. The kids are exhausted! We spent most of today walking around Madrid with our guide Gregory, taking in many of the beautiful sites of the city.

The Palace of the King of Spain, although he no longer lives in the building. The building has 2,800 rooms!
As you can see, the kids were exhausted. A number of them took a catnap while we waited for Gregory to meet us in the Plaza Mayor. It wasn't easy to wake up Zach!

Here we are at a Tapas Bar run by Marina who treated us like family. Most of us tried Jamon (Spanish ham), Calamari, tortilla espanola, Spanish fries and chorrizo. It was quite a treat!
Our last stop of a very, very long day was at a churreria to try churros dipped in chocolate. Absolutely delicious!
